Invest In Yourself: Why Education is the Key to Success in the Beauty Industry
The beauty industry is fast-paced and ever-evolving. To retain top clientele, you’ll need to keep your skills sharp and continue to explore new trends, techniques, and cutting-edge products. At Indie Salons Luxury Studios, we believe that beauty pro continuing education is one of the most important ways that a Boulder beauty pro can invest in themselves. When you become a member of our Indie family, you’ll have access to much more than just a customizable salon studio rental. We’re a supportive network of entrepreneurs, and we’re here to support and encourage each other to succeed. That’s why we provide extensive opportunities to participate in workshops, classes, and more. Interested in learning more about our philosophy on continuing education? Here’s a glimpse of the exciting opportunities you can expect as an Indie:
Why Continuing Education as a Boulder Beauty Pro is Crucial
In the beauty industry, there’s no shortage of talented and motivated individuals–especially in the Colorado market. To establish yourself as among the best in the business, striving to hone your craft is a must. We make it easy (and fun!) to continue your education, and regularly schedule hands-on beauty and business classes hosted by experts in the field.
Recently, we’ve held workshops on beauty industry topics including the new KCMax Smoothing System, a trend cut class by Nicole (“Nikay”) Higgins, and a hands-on blonding demonstration. Staying on top of the latest trends and techniques is important, but the business side of things is just as vital to your success as an Indie-preneur. As entrepreneurs ourselves, we know that handling marketing and bookkeeping can be daunting. Our business-oriented classes simplify the process of learning these must-have skills, so you’ll walk away with practical tips and a strong foundation on which to build. Examples of our business and marketing classes include a full day social media class with hands on photo editing taught by “Social Queen” and celebrity stylist Olivia Smalley of OMGArtistry, as well as a talk on taxes from a tax planning expert who has worked with studio suite business owners.
Our continuing education courses are a hit with our Indies, and we have more great opportunities coming up soon. Workshops on the schedule include a full day Balayage and Business class on May 4th taught by Masters of Balayage CEO/Founder Ryan Weeden (!!!), and Updos for Events on July 13th taught by Moroccan Oil and wedding expert Nine Morrison.
Interested in gaining exclusive or discounted access to these classes (and many more)? When you’re part of the Indie family, you’ll benefit from numerous opportunities for personal and business growth in addition to your gorgeous, modern salon studio rental. Plus, our super-supportive community is always here to provide a listening ear and celebrate each other’s successes. When you’re ready to arrange a showing of one of our locations in Boulder, Denver and Lone Tree, or receive a complimentary budget analysis from our Market Manager, Kandice Martinez, please reach out to her to schedule a meeting.
