Many of our Indies use automated booking systems through Square or GlossGenius. If you’re using a system that offers the ability to send follow up emails, be sure to enable this setting. If you plan to use Square, it’s a simple process:
- Navigate to your Square Online Overview page
- Click on Items > Customer Reviews
- Choose Enable Customer Reviews
- Determine the amount of time you’d like to wait before sending an automated review request to clients
You can also text out review links to clients instead of email, whichever is your preferred method of contact.
When your goal is to get those great reviews rolling in as quickly as possible, spread the word via email and/or your social channels that you’re offering a reward. Many retail stores encourage customer feedback by providing a chance to win a gift card for leaving a review, and beauty professionals can follow a similar strategy.
